High Flow Random Tower Packing
hiflow packing Is ideal for environmental applications, such as fume scrubbing, gas absorption, VOC / CO2 stripping and water treatment.
Hiflow packing can be regarded as high performance packings. The characteristic grid structure provides a high mechanical stability and at the same time a very high void fraction. Their low weight in combination with their excellent mechanical stability allows for high packed bed heights without the need for internediate support grids. Some of the inherent features of Hiflow Rings are their high loading capacity in terms of liquid and gas streams accompanied by an extremely low pressure drop. In addition, they minimise the phenomenon of liquid flow towards and down the column walls. Last but not least, they are insensitive to contamination and pollution
Important Performance Considerations
• The T.C.I hiflow packing provides the lowest pressure drop of all The Pall Ring Company random plastic tower packing types;
• The low DP / unit height of packed beds allows hiflow packing :
– a high tower capacity, which in turn allows for smaller column diameters and fans in new bespoke designs;
– a significant reduction in the unit energy consumption;
• The highly efficient 2-phase contact, even at low throughputs, yields a high separation performance and facilitates a reduced packed height in new bespoke designs;
• The high liquid volumetric capacity allows for smaller column diameter in new bespoke designs.
